When it comes to virtual reality headsets, it can be difficult to choose between two great options. In this case, I'll compare the HTC Vive Pro 2 and the upcoming Roscosmos XR-2. Both offer room-scale tracking, 360 tracking and 120 Hz refresh rate which make them both strong contenders in the virtual reality world.
Starting with the HTC Vive Pro 2, this headset has a field of view of 120° and a resolution of 2448 x 2448 px. It also requires an Intel Core i5-4590 or AMD Ryzen 1500 equivalent or greater for CPU power and an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 or AMD Radeon RX 480 equivalent or greater for graphics power. As far as specs go these are solid requirements which make the Vive Pro 2 a great option for those who want good quality visuals but don’t need top of the line equipment.
The Roscosmos XR-2 will have a field of view of 157° with a resolution 5760 x 2800 px when it is released later this year. These specs make it one of the best VR headsets on the market and should provide stunning visuals to users regardless if they use Windows or Linux as their operating system. The only downside to this device is that it will require powerful hardware components to take advantage of all its features so some users may find themselves needing upgrades just to use it properly
In my opinion, both headsets are excellent options depending on what you’re looking for in your VR experience. The Vive Pro 2 provides excellent visuals at lower hardware requirements making it ideal for those who may not have high end gaming rigs while also being cheaper than its competitor; however, if you're looking for more cutting edge technology then look no further than Roscosmos XR-2 – although you’ll likely have to shell out more money since its high end specs require more expensive hardware components than the Vive Pro 2 does. All things considered I personally prefer using HTC Vive Pro 2 because I already own mid level PC parts which allows me get good results without having to upgrade my computer setup extensively like I would need too with Roscosmos XR-2
