Based on 1 reviews
Comparing the Oculus Quest and the Homido V2, it's clear that both have their respective strengths and weaknesses. When it comes to performance specs, the Oculus Quest clearly has an edge in terms of its resolution at 1600 × 1440 px and its refresh rate of 72 Hz, making for a much smoother experience compared to the Homido V2 with its 960 x 1080 px resolution and 120 Hz refresh rate.
The Field of View on both is comparable - 95° on the Quest and 103° on the V2 - but this is balanced out by the fact that the Quest offers standalone operation while the V2 requires a smartphone. This gives users more freedom with fewer setup requirements with the former, though both headsets offer 360-degree tracking capability. As far as operating system goes, one key difference is that while Windows will work just fine with Oculus Quest, Android or iOS are necessary for using Homido V2 due to being a phone-based VR headset.
In my opinion, I would say that overall when taking into account all aspects discussed above – performance specifications such as resolution & field of view, operating system compatibility and room scale tracking – I would personally prefer to use Oculus Quest over Homido V2 due to its superior resolution & refresh rate as well as needing less setup than what is required for a smartphone VR headset like Homido V2. For these reasons alone, I think that it makes for a better choice if you’re looking for an immersive virtual reality experience.
