I had the opportunity to compare two of the leading virtual reality headsets on the market: The Oculus Quest and the HTC VIVE Cosmos. Both are standalone VR products, but they differ significantly in terms of design, resolution, and field of view.

Starting with the Oculus Quest, this headset has a field of view of 95°, meaning that you will get an immersive experience when using it. The resolution is also decent at 1600 x 1440 px, providing great visuals and making sure that you won’t have any issues with pixelation or blurriness. It also has room scale tracking along with 360 degree tracking for extra precision when navigating around virtual spaces. Additionally, it has a refresh rate of 72 Hz which makes sure that there is no lag when using the headset. This all combines to create an overall smooth and immersive experience with no noticeable glitches or lags during use.

The HTC VIVE Cosmos takes things up a notch by having 110° field of view and 2880 x 1700 px resolution which provides even more clarity than its counterpart while still maintaining performance due to its 90 Hz refresh rate. It also features 360 degree tracking which allows for precise movements within VR environments as well as room scale technology which can give users accurate representations of their real-world environment if needed.

Overall both headsets provide great experiences but I personally prefer the HTC VIVE Cosmos because it's higher quality display as well as better tracking accuracy gives me a much more enjoyable experience compared to what I got from Oculus Quest . That said ,the Oculus Quest is still great value for money due to its lower price point than competing headsets like the Vive Pro so it’s definitely worth considering if you want to save some money but still have a good VR experience .
