The Oculus Rift S and the Oculus Quest are two virtual reality headsets from the same manufacturer. While both headsets offer an immersive VR experience, there are differences between them in terms of features, performance, and cost.

The Rift S has a higher refresh rate at 80 Hz compared to 72 Hz on the Quest, which can make motion smoother when playing games or watching videos.

In terms of pricing, the Rift S is cheaper than the Quest and typically costs around $400 while its counterpart goes for up to $700. This makes it an attractive choice for those who want to enjoy VR without breaking their budget too much. However, if you don’t already own a compatible PC then you may need to invest in one as well in order for your headset to work properly – something that may not be feasible for all users given current prices for such hardware components.

Both headsets offer an amazing VR experience but if I had to pick one I would go with the Oculus Rift S because it offers slightly better specs and performance than its counterpart at a lower price point plus it’s compatible with my existing gaming rig so no extra hardware purchases are necessary for me personally; however this might vary depending on individual needs and preferences so be sure to do some research before committing your hard earned cash!
