Oculus Rift vs PlayStation VR2

When you compare the Oculus Rift to the PlayStation VR2 you can see which VR Headset is better. Let's take a look of the comparison, and see which model of VR Headset out ontop.

What VR Headset is better?

The Oculus Rift and PlayStation VR2 are two of the top virtual reality (VR) headsets currently available on the market. Both feature excellent designs, powerful processors and high resolution displays, as well as room-scale tracking and 360 degree video support. In this comparison, I will assess both devices' specifications in order to determine which one offers the best overall experience.

First off is field of view (FOV), with both devices featuring a FOV of 110 degrees. This is a pro for each headset since it allows users to see more when using them in games or other applications that require an expansive field of vision. The higher refresh rate offered by the PlayStation VR2 - 120 Hz - is also a plus for those looking for faster response times in their VR experiences. However, the Rift's 90 Hz rate isn't too far behind and should still provide plenty of smooth performance even with fast-paced action sequences.

Next up is resolution, where the Oculus Rift has a 1080 x 1200px display while PlayStation VR2 boasts 2000x2040px resolution; a clear win for Sony's headset here. Whether playing games or watching movies, this level of clarity makes all content look sharper than ever before on any screen size! That said, you may want to keep an eye out on your graphics card when playing intense titles as some may struggle to handle the increased pixel count.

Finally we have minimum hardware requirements: Intel i3-6100 or AMD Ryzen 3 1200 CPU is recommended for the Oculus Rift while PlayStation requires at least an Nvidia GTX 1050Ti or AMD Radeon RX 470 GPU; again giving Sony's console device another victory in terms of hardware requirements being less demanding compared to PC equivalents.

Overall I would say that both headsets offer great experiences but if pushed to choose between them I'd personally lean towards the Playstation VR2 due to its higher resolution and lower minimum specs needed - making it more accessible than its PC counterpart from Oculus. The additional refresh rate also adds another point in Sony's favour since quicker responses can result in better immersion during gaming sessions!
