Samsung Gear VR vs Google Daydream View 2

When you compare the Google Daydream View 2 to the Samsung Gear VR you can see which VR Headset is better. Let's take a look of the comparison, and see which model of VR Headset out ontop.

What VR Headset is better?

Comparing the Google Daydream View 2 and Samsung Gear VR is no small feat as both devices have their own pros and cons. In terms of Field of View, both offer a wide field with the Daydream View 2 offering 100° and the Gear VR offering 101°. The slightly higher FoV on the Gear VR gives it an edge here, making it easier to take in more content at once.

The resolution on each device also differs. The Daydream View offers a 2560 x 1440px resolution while the Gear VR opts for a slightly lower resolution of 2560 x 1440px. This gives the gear vr somewhat of an edge in terms of clarity when compared to its competition, giving it better visuals overall.

When looking at operating systems, both devices run Android but there are some differences between them that need to be taken into account. The Daydream View operates using an older version of Android which means certain features may not be available such as access to certain apps or streaming services like Netflix or Hulu Plus. The Gear VR, on the other hand, has access to all these features thanks to its newer version of Android which can provide users with a better experience overall.

In terms of tracking capabilities, both headsets offer 360-degree tracking but they differ in how they do so. The Daydream View uses a three-axis gyroscope while the Gear VR uses room scale tracking which allows for more accurate movements within virtual reality experiences allowing users to move around more freely without worrying about losing tracking accuracy due to changes in their environment or movement speed/directional changes made by the user’s body during game play or exploration. In this regard, I would give credit to Samsung for including this feature as it does help make experiences much more immersive than before and worth taking note off when comparing these two products side by side.

Lastly we come down my personal opinion on which headset I preferred out of these two products; after testing each product extensively I found that I personally enjoyed using Samsung's Gear VR over Google's Daydream view 2 largely due its superior refresh rate (60 Hz vs 30 Hz) & its room scale tracking technology making experiences feel much more immersive than before due being able track movements & actions accurately without any degradation over time or loss in quality caused by environmental factors such as brightness/darkness etc., though despite my preference many people still prefer using Google's daydream view 2 as it costs less & provides decent performance despite its drawbacks listed above so ultimately choosing one over another depends largely on your preferences & budget constraints you might have set yourself when selecting either one out these two products mentioned here today..
