The Valve Index has a larger field of view at 130° compared to the Samsung Odyssey's 110° field of view. This gives users with the Valve Index a more immersive experience. The resolution on both headsets is the same with 1440 × 1600 px, however, when it comes to graphics requirements, you will need an Nvidia GeForce GTX 970 or AMD RX480 for the Valve Index while the Samsung Odyssey requires an Nvidia GTX1050 or higher. The operating system requirement for both headsets is Windows only. Both have room-scale tracking capabilities and 360 tracking as well which allow for greater movement within virtual reality experiences.
