When you compare the HTC VIVE Pro to the HTC VIVE you can see which VR Headset is better. Let's take a look of the comparison, and see which model of VR Headset out ontop.
The HTC VIVE Pro and the HTC VIVE are both PC virtual reality (VR) headsets. Both have a field of view of 110°, as well as 360-degree tracking and a refresh rate of 90 Hz.
The main difference between the two lies in their respective resolutions and system requirements. The HTC VIVE Pro has a resolution of 1440 × 1600 px, while the HTC VIVE has a resolution of 1080 × 1200 px; thus making the former more suitable for intensive gaming scenarios due to its increased clarity. On top of that, the minimum CPU requirement for using the HTC VIVE Pro is higher than that for using the HTC Vive – Intel Core i5-4590 compared to Intel I5-4590 or AMD FX 8350 – as well as requiring an Nvidia GeForce GTX 1060 or better graphics card compared to only needing either an Nvidia GeForce™ GTX 1060 or AMD Radeon™ RX 480 graphics card with the latter headset. This makes it clear that in terms of specs and capabilities, the HTC VIVE Pro is slightly superior than its predecessor, though whether these differences make up for an increased price tag is largely subjective.
For me personally, I would opt for the newer model over its predecessor; if I’m going to pay extra money for any product I want to make sure it offers something better or new from what’s already available on market. However, this may not be necessary depending on your own personal needs and preferences when it comes to VR headsets – if you just want basic functionalities without fancy bells and whistles then maybe getting one of these lower models would work just fine too!
