Both have a lot of features to offer users and make for an exciting experience, but there are some differences that should be noted when choosing between these two options. The Oculus Quest 2 is a standalone VR headset with room-scale tracking and 360° tracking capabilities. It has a 97° field of view and a resolution of 1832 x 1920 px. Its CPU is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon XR2 and it runs Android 10 as its operating system, giving users access to all kinds of apps. It also has an impressive 72 Hz refresh rate which makes for smooth visuals even during intense gaming sessions. This is definitely a pro since higher refresh rates give more realistic visual effects which can really enhance your experience with virtual reality games or videos.

The Microsoft HoloLens 2 is an augmented/mixed reality headset rather than pure virtual reality like the Quest 2. It offers room-scale tracking as well as 360° tracking capabilities, but its field of view is slightly smaller at 52° degrees compared to the 97° offered by the Quest 2, although still respectable in comparison with other mixed reality headsets on the market today. The HoloLens2 also boasts a resolution of 2048 × 1080 px which offers quite good clarity although again not quite up to par with some competing products on the market today. One thing that stands out about this particular device though is its 60Hz refresh rate; while lower than most dedicated VR devices (including the Quest 2) it still offers enough smoothness that allows you to enjoy your immersive experiences without any issues whatsoever!

In conclusion, when comparing these two virtual reality headsets side-by-side we can see that they both have different pros and cons based on their specific specifications and intended use cases – so if you’re looking for something geared more towards gaming or watching movies then you may want to opt for the higher spec Oculus Quest 2 whereas if you need something better suited for mixed/augmented reality tasks then perhaps go for Microsoft HoloLens2 instead! Personally I find myself leaning more towards using my Oculus Quest 2 due mainly because it's simply better at providing me with great visuals thanks to its higher refresh rate – however having tried both I must say I'm impressed by how well each device performs within its respective genre!
