When you compare the Oculus Quest 2 to the Oculus Go you can see which VR Headset is better. Let's take a look of the comparison, and see which model of VR Headset out ontop.
When comparing the Oculus Quest 2 and the Oculus Go, it's clear that both headsets provide an immersive virtual reality experience. Both headsets have a wide field of view of 97° for the Quest 2 and 101° for the Go. The Quest 2 has a higher resolution with 1832 x 1920 px compared to 2560 × 1440 px in the Go.
The built-in processor in the Quest 2 is a Qualcomm Snapdragon XR2 which is designed specifically for VR, whereas with the Oculus Go requires at least an Intel Core i3-6100 or AMD Ryzen 3 1200, FX4350 or greater along with either a Nvidia GeForce GTX 1050Ti or Radeon RX 470 or better. This makes the Quest 2 more user friendly as you don't need any additional hardware to get up and running.
In terms of room scale support, both headsets offer 360 tracking and refresh rates of 72 Hz - so there isn't much difference here between them either. They also both use Android as their operating system.
My personal opinion is that while both headsets offer great features, I prefer using the Oculus Quest 2 due to its lower minimum hardware requirements and its high resolution display providing an incredibly vivid experience when playing games or watching videos on it. The fact that it's powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon XR2 also means that your headset won't become obsolete anytime soon either which is always nice!
