Based on 1 reviews
Today I will be comparing the two virtual reality headsets: Samsung HMD Odyssey+ and Oculus Quest. Both are amazing pieces of technology that offer great experiences, but each has its own strengths and weaknesses.
To start with, the Samsung HMD Odyssey+ is a PC VR headset with a 110° field of view, 1440 × 1600 px resolution and 90 Hz refresh rate. It also offers room scale tracking and 360-degree tracking capabilities. The pro of this headset is that it has higher resolution compared to other PC VRs, providing you with an immersive experience. The downside is that it requires a powerful computer setup to run smoothly which can be expensive for some people.
On the other hand, we have Oculus Quest – a standalone VR headset with 95° field of view, 1600 x 1440 px resolution and 72 Hz refresh rate. It does not require any external hardware setup like a PC or console – all you need to do is just put on the device itself and start playing! This makes it great for people who want more freedom from wires or heavy equipment when playing virtual reality games. The downside here is that its lower resolution means images won’t be as sharp as those seen on the Samsung HMD Odyssey+.
Between these two headsets, my personal preference would go to the Samsung HMD Odyssey+. Its higher resolution provides better visual experience overall while still providing an immersive gaming experience even without needing much equipment except for your own gaming PC or laptop which many gamers already own anyway! While both headsets provide excellent experiences in their respective ways, I would recommend getting the Samsung HMD Odyssey+ if you are looking for better visuals at an affordable price point compared to dedicated standalone headsets like Oculus Quest or HTC Vive Pro etc.
