When you compare the Oculus Rift to the HTC VIVE Pro you can see which VR Headset is better. Let's take a look of the comparison, and see which model of VR Headset out ontop.
When it comes to virtual reality headsets, the Oculus Rift and HTC VIVE Pro are both excellent options for gamers who want to experience the best in VR. Both have a field of view of 110 degrees and refresh rate of 90 Hz. The major difference is that the Oculus Rift has a resolution of 1080 × 1200 pixels while the HTC VIVE Pro has a resolution of 1440 × 1600 pixels, which means that you get more clarity with the HTC VIVE Pro.
The minimum CPU requirements are different as well; the Oculus Rift requires an Intel i3-6100 or AMD Ryzen 3 1200 processor while the HTC VIVE Pro needs an Intel Core i5-4590 processor. This means that if you're looking for a PC VR headset with more demanding performance, then you should go with the HTC VIVE Pro. Similarly, if you're looking for better graphics quality then it's worth considering the Nvidia GeForce GTX 1060 GPU required by HTC VIVE Pro rather than just opting for the Nvidia GTX 1050Ti or AMD Radeon RX 470 required by Oculus Rift.
Finally, there's also some differences when it comes to operating systems; The Oculus Rift is only compatible with Microsoft Windows whereas The HTC Vive pro supports both Mac OS and Microsoft Windows platforms which gives it an edge over its competitor in this regard as well.
When comparing both these headsets, I personally prefer using HTCH Vive pro because it offers higher resolution and more powerful processing capabilities compared to its rival; however, this doesn't mean that one should completely ignore what else is out there since there are other things such as room scale and 360 tracking capabilities on both headsets too. All in all, if budget isn’t an issue then definitely go for the HTCH Vive pro but if cost efficiency is important then perhaps considering something like oculus rift might be better suited to your needs due to its lower price tag!
