When it comes to virtual reality headsets, two of the top contenders are the Oculus Go and the Oculus Rift. Both are great options for any level user, from beginners to advanced users looking for a full immersive experience. Let’s take a look at how these two stack up against each other and decide which one is best.
Field of View: The field of view is what gives you an idea of your viewable area when using your headset, and in this category, the Oculus Rift takes the edge with its 110° FOV compared to 101° on the Go. This means that you can see more in your peripheral vision while using your headset with an Oculus Rift than with an Oculus Go.
Resolution: Resolution plays a big role in giving you a crisp image, allowing you to really feel immersed in whatever world or game you’re playing. In terms of resolution, the Go gets another point over its counterpart due to its 2560 x 1440 pixel count compared to 1080 x 1200 pixels on the Rift.
Minimum CPU required: When it comes to hardware requirements both devices require quite similar setups with Intel Core i3-6100 or AMD Ryzen 3 1200 being required for either device as well as NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050Ti or Radeon RX 470 graphics cards. So no clear winner here as both systems will give pretty much identical performance when used correctly.
Operating System: The operating system makes a difference when choosing between these two headsets - if you don’t want any fuss then perhaps go for Oculus Go which runs Android; otherwise if you want more customization options then choose Oculus Rift which runs Microsoft Windows making easier use third party applications etc..

Based on my personal opinions and experiences I would suggest buying an oculus go if cost is an issue since it's cheaper than rift; however if price isn't an issue I would recommend oculus rift simply because it provides more features such as high resolution screen and windows operating system support allowing users run different type software/games etc.. Additionally better refresh rate ensures smoother gameplay even during intense action scenes!
