Comparing the Pimax 5K Super and Valve Index VR headsets is a tough task, as both provide excellent experiences for PC gamers. The two products have their respective strengths and weaknesses, which we will compare in this review.

Starting off with field of view (FOV), the Pimax 5K Super boasts an impressive 150° FOV compared to the Valve Index's 130° FOV. This wider field of view gives users a greater sense of immersion while playing, as they can look around them more naturally. However, this also means that it may take more time to render objects at larger distances due to the additional pixels needed. Therefore, those who play high-end graphical games should take note of this fact before purchasing either headset.

Resolution is another key factor when comparing these headsets; the Pimax 5K Super has a resolution of 2560x1440 while the Valve Index has 1440 × 1600 px. While both offer high levels of detail for gaming experiences, the extra pixels on the Pimax 5K provides better clarity and sharper graphics than what you would get from its counterpart.

The refresh rate also sets these two apart from each other; with a 180 Hz refresh rate on the Pimax 5K and 120 Hz on Valve’s device—the former obviously delivers smoother visuals when gaming or viewing content from various sources such as YouTube or Netflix in VR mode.. Additionally, both require different minimum graphic cards for optimal performance: Nvidia GeForce GTX 970 / AMD RX480 for Valve's headset and Nvidia Geforce RTX 2070 / AMD Vega 56 for Pimax's product. Therefore depending on your budget/desired performance level you might have to decide between one over another here too..

In terms of room scale support, both headsets are capable of providing 6DoF tracking although again there are differences in accuracy and latency that may be worth considering— especially if you plan on playing fast-paced shooter games where timing can make all difference between success & failure! And lastly while neither support passthrough cameras they do offer microphone inputs which can come handy if you're planning on using them with voice commands/assistants like Google Assistant or Amazon Alexa during certain tasks..

After going through all factors involved in choosing between one or another I'd personally pick up Valve Index due to it being slightly cheaper than its competitor & providing almost same level experience albeit few things like refresh rates & FoV tradeoff but nothing too noticeable by average user... Thus overall my vote goes to them!
