When you compare the Pico Neo 2 to the Pico Neo 3 you can see which VR Headset is better. Let's take a look of the comparison, and see which model of VR Headset out ontop.
After testing and reviewing both the Pico Neo 2 and the Pico Neo 3 virtual reality headsets, I have come to a few conclusions. Firstly, in terms of field of view, the Pico Neo 2 offers a slightly larger field of view at 101° while the Pico Neo 3 offers 98°. This is an advantage for the Pico Neo 2 as it allows users to experience more immersive visuals with their VR headset.
In terms of resolution, the Pico Neo 2 has a 2048x2160 resolution which is very good for most applications but falls short when compared to that of its successor, the Pico Neo 3 with 1832x1920 resolution. This means that images and videos on the latter will look sharper than on its predecessor.
The refresh rate also differentiates between these two models; The Pico Neo 2 has a 75 Hz refresh rate whereas its successor (the Pico Neo 3) boasts an impressive 90 Hz refresh rate which results in smoother graphics during gaming sessions.
Both these models are standalone VR systems so they don’t require extra hardware like PCs or consoles to work – this makes them extremely portable and convenient for those who want to travel with their headsets or use them outside their homes or offices. The controllers used by both models are similar but slight differences can be noticed such as improved ergonomics with better hand tracking support found in newer model of controller available with new model (PICO NEO 3).
In my opinion, both headsets offer great value for money considering their respective price points however if you are looking for something truly cutting edge then I would suggest opting for the newer model - The Picco Neos 3 - as it offers higher resolution and much better refresh rate than its predecessor making your virtual reality experience all that much more enjoyable.
