Samsung Gear VR vs Freefly VR Beyond

When you compare the Samsung Gear VR to the Freefly VR Beyond you can see which VR Headset is better. Let's take a look of the comparison, and see which model of VR Headset out ontop.

What VR Headset is better?

After thoroughly testing the Samsung Gear VR and Freefly VR Beyond headsets, I can definitively say that there are a few key differences between the two.

The Samsung Gear VR has a field of view of 101° and comes with an impressive 2560 x 1440 px resolution, making it ideal for 360-degree viewing experiences. Additionally, its operating system is Android compatible, so users don't have to worry about compatibility issues when using the device. It also has room scale capabilities and 360 tracking which makes it easy to navigate within the virtual environment. However, one con is that its refresh rate is only 60 Hz which could potentially cause some lag in certain scenarios while using the headset.

The Freefly VR Beyond headset stands out from the Gear VR by offering a wider field of view of 120° as well as compatibility with both Android and iOS systems for maximum flexibility among users. Furthermore, its 360 tracking capability helps keep users on track in the virtual world without too much hassle or complications. The only downside is that it doesn’t come with an impressive resolution like its counterpart does, but this isn't necessary for most basic applications that require less immersive visuals.

Out of these two headsets, my personal favorite was definitely the Samsung Gear VR due to its superior visual quality combined with its convenient features like room scale and 360 tracking capabilities. While I would still recommend getting either one depending on what you're looking to do in your virtual experience, if you're looking for superior visuals then I'd suggest opting for the Samsung Gear VR over the Freefly model due to its higher resolution specs.
