Based on 6 reviews
For this review, I had the opportunity to compare two different virtual reality headsets: the Samsung Gear VR and FXGear NOON VR Pro. Both are smartphone-based headsets and offer great immersive experiences. Each headset has its pros and cons, so let’s dive in!
The Samsung Gear VR is a great all-rounder with an impressive 2560 x 1440 resolution, providing a sharp image that won’t strain your eyes. It also offers 101° field of view and 60Hz refresh rate. Additionally, it offers room scale 360 tracking which makes for a more realistic experience.
The FXGear NOON VR Pro is also a good choice but has slightly less impressive specs than the Gear VR with its 1920x1080 resolution and 101° field of view. However, it does have support for both Android and iOS platforms which may make it a better option for some people. It also has 360 tracking which makes it suitable for more immersive experiences.
After using both headsets I found that the Samsung Gear VR provides better quality visuals due to its higher resolution and faster refresh rate; this made me feel more immersed in whatever I was viewing or playing compared to the FXGear NOON VR Pro. The FXGear NOON however still provided an enjoyable experience and did not suffer from any lag issues or distortion – likely due to its lower resolution display that may be easier on some smartphones than trying to output content at higher resolutions while maintaining smooth performance levels (i.e., no stuttering). Additionally, having dual operating system support makes the NOON ideal if you want use your headset across multiple devices without having to purchase two separate sets of hardware/software combinations specifically designed for each platform – making it quite convenient when travelling between Android or iOS environments on occasion while still being able to enjoy full 3D immersion experiences through compatible apps/games on either platform without worry about compatibility issues cropping up during usage sessions.
In conclusion, after comparing these two virtual reality headsets side by side – my personal preference is for the Samsung Gear VR as overall there are more features in terms of hardware specifications as well as an overall smoother user experience due to its higher resolution display panel – something that can really make all the difference when enjoying 3D media content within these types of headsets!
