Based on 6 reviews
Having used both the Samsung Gear VR and the Homido V2 headsets, I can confidently say that they are both great pieces of virtual reality technology. Both have 360 degree tracking, allowing for a fully immersive experience. The field of view in both is impressive as well; the Samsung Gear VR offers 101° while the Homido V2 provides 103°.
When it comes to resolution, however, there is a clear difference between the two. The Samsung Gear VR offers 2560 x 1440 px, which gives users more clarity when playing games or viewing movies with their headset. This makes for an incredibly enjoyable user experience as everything looks crisp and clear when using this product. On the other hand, the Homido V2 only has 960 x 1080 px resolution, making images look slightly blurry when compared to its rival headset. This could be considered a con if one is looking for better visuals when using a virtual reality headset.
The refresh rate also plays an important role in terms of performance and immersion levels achieved with either product: While the Samsung Gear VR has a refresh rate of 60 Hz.,the Homido V2’s refresh rate stands at 120 Hz., giving users much smoother motion control when using either device to play video games or watch movies/TV shows. When it comes to operating systems compatibility ,both headsets will work on Android devices but only the Homido V2 works on iOS devices too .
Finally ,when talking about room scale feature ,Samsung Gear VR does not include this feature which means that you can move your head freely but cannot walk around inside your game . However ,Homido V2 includes this room scale ability which allows gamers to walk around in their own room during gameplay .This will give them an enhanced level of realism when playing certain types of games and apps that are designed with this feature enabled .
Overall, I think both products offer excellent features and performance levels for what they cost. However my personal preference would go to the Homido V2 due to its superior resolution and refresh rates as well as its compatibility with iOS devices and room scale capabilities
