Vuzix Blade Smart Glasses

The Vuzix Blade Upgraded is in the low class when we look at comparable AR headsets. With the Blade Upgraded we see a number of interesting innovations to its predecessor. Where the waveguide technique provides improved transparency and a sharp interface display, with the possibility to operate the headset with voice commands, the Vuzix Blade Upgraded is an absolute improvement over its predecessor. The certifications also ensure that the headset can be used in more and more business environments. In terms of camera and strength, the headset is still lagging behind, for example, a RealWear HMT-1, a smart glass that also focus on the business and industrial market. Especially in terms of strength and lability, the Vuzix Blade Upgraded still has room for improvement, especially if the headset is to be used in industrial environments.

Vuzix Blade is an advanced pair of smart glasses with apps and image quality that’ll leave you impressed. However, their unflattering look, painful fit and tinted lenses means you probably won’t want to wear them all day.

The Vuzix Blade sunglasses are excruciatingly close to achieving what Google set out to master years ago, and what Vuzix has been clawing at for even longer: truly augmented reality that not only keeps you connected but tells you more about the world around you. It’s time to get psyched about AR again.

I'm reasonably certain that Vuzix will make progress toward the above goals, but its first-generation Blade smart glasses are just that: a start. I found that their bulkiness makes them uncomfortable to wear for extended stretches of time, and, as of now, there just aren't enough apps to justify keeping them on your head.
